Tue 04.19.2005 :: Web Host decides they don't want our business.
Wow, what a chaotic last month here at Build a Home Bar, and our sister sites! Our web host decided they no longer wanted our business without letting us know, and we were offline for a week before I caught the problem. I emailed them, and they didn't even know what was wrong! Then I received an email stating we had gone over our allotment of CPU usage and web traffic(ya right). I laughed for a bit, and then moved the sites affected to my other web server. You guys might wanna stay away from Resellers Panel for hosting considering how our venture with them has went. People generally act any way they please when not face to face.

Then the other web server decided it didn't like how my PHP includes were set up and it took quite awhile for myself and a tech at my web host to figure out the deal. So, here we are to today, and we're back online! And I do believe we are fully functional. Few tweaks to be made soon, but at least we are online for the most part with PHP now working. Let's hope this doesn't happen again!

Wed 03.09.2005 :: Server Compromised - SpyKids irc.gigachat.net Brasil Ownz?
Our server was apparently compromised, and the Build a Home Bar main index page was replaced on our server around March 7th. The replaced main webpage was totally white with the text, SpyKids irc.gigachat.net Brasil Ownz

A google search reveals someone is quite upset with the USA, President George Bush, the War on Terror, and the policies in Iraq... as about 150 websites appear to have been cracked, and emblazoned with this person's agenda.

Anyways, I hope this doesn't happen again to our home on the web, and it is a shame that someone would think that all American citizens are neo-conservative war mongers. I, for one, would like to see our soldiers of the armed forces come home soon, and take care of the problems in our own country for a decade, or two.

There's a few things we're interested in currently: link exchanges with websites who are in the same genre, and we'd like to have authors submit articles for our website, and article section. We offer the regular things other websites generally offer: a bio, and website link at the bottom of the article. Any help with articles would be greatly appreciated!

We plan to make a link partner webpage for our link partners with no more than 10 links on each page. So, that it hopefully would be beneficial to websites to gain page rank eventually by being linked here. Feel free to contact us to offer tips on setting this up, or if you'd like to exchange links. We're new to link exchanges, so any help would be appreciated on doing this correctly SEO-wise. Thanks!!
